very efficient and timely system for processing claims. I was surprised at the short time it took to process the claim and transfer the claim check into my account.

Pets Best was with us.

Piper would act like he was hacking up a hairball from time to time but never did we see a hairball. After X-rays the vet said asthma was the cause. We tried a couple meds and hopefully it looks like this latest one is helping him pretty well, with attacks being much less this month, so far. (fingers crossed). All through this process Pets Best was with us, covering and reimbursing what we think is very fair and helpful. I recommend it to anyone with pets and always remember a co-worker who had a dog that needed emergency surgery months after I told them about Pets Best. But, they never got the insurance and had an almost $5000 bill for the surgery. Submitting claims is easy and website is very straight forward and simple to use. Thanks

Less than forthcoming

I am an honest person and would not try to take advantage of a company or anyone but I must say i felt Pest best did that to me. I fully disclosed my dogs history when I got my insurance, this includes and surgery in his left rear leg. Well as it happens a few MONTHs mind you into his time with Pets Best he needed surgery on his right leg. I was paranoid so I called to make sure they would cover me. I thought surely its no problem, no we wont cover that. The explanation given was it was considered a bilateral condition. A, injury to a separate leg in a ligament considered bilateral? Ok, so what good is this insurance? If you tore your ACL would Elis cross say we wont cover your other leg? They left me with a $3000 bill. If they had told me up front at least I would know. I canceled immedialtley

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
