Never have a problem with claims

I never have a problem with claims since I can e-mail them in as attachments. Of course I wish I could have a plan with no deductible but I understand that it wouldn't be a popular product and probably unaffordable for most customers. I wish though that I could get a supplemental or wrap around for dental in particular. Sasha is a tiny Chiwawa so she will lose most her teeth as compared to larger dogs. It requires more cleanings. The $100 reimbursement for 2 cleanings is not realistic here on the East Coast. Why? Because the vet has to do the bloodwork before to make sure she is healthy enough before he does any dental work.

Pets Best is quick to respond with good customer support

I knew the overall diagnosis of my dog is a pre-existing condition, but I shared my pet insurance details with my vet for future use. I wasn't sure they had submitted a claim, but I had assumed it would go towards my deductible anyway, since it was a check-in with my dogs pain, not any procedure for after the diagnosis. Regardless, Pets Best was very quick to respond and it showed good customer support in that action and bodes well for anything I may have to submit in the future.

They don't cover half the claims, then only cover less than half the cost.

I will be looking for a better insurance company, for my 2 dogs, this one does not cover most claims, they charge me $52 dollars a month for my puppy, just had rabies shot, which you would think it would be covered by insurance, under wellness, the charge from vet was $35, they paid $15, said $20 was not covered, this makes no since to me, I have had 7 claims from my 2 dogs, only one for the older dog and 2 for the puppy have been covered, and those only part of the bill was covered, I see were they say they have paid out 1.5 million in claims since 2005, I bet they have made double or triple that in monthly billings from people like me that thought this would help with vet cost, but if you add up, what you are paying monthly and the little they cover, you would most likely save money by not paying them and going without insurance, I would not recommend pets best for you pets insurance.

Sent in 2 claims for my Saint Bernard…

Sent in 2 claims for my Saint Bernard on Friday nov 9th. By Sunday nov 11th, both have been paid and my reimbursement sent via direct deposit Doesn’t get much better then this. Thanks again pets best. 😎

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
