Quick reply to claims

Quick reply to claims and our claims have always been approved. Quick cut of the check as well. Highly recommend. My only complaint which has nothing to do with service is the steep rise in rates. They have jumped significantly in the past year which is frustrating.

Premiums go up and benefits go down...

We have been customers of Pets Best Insurance for 10 years and unfortunately my dog has been unwell for many of those years. Pet's Best will do everything they can to raise our rates and avoid payment for illnesses that cannot be 100% traced back to an illness. I have had over 90 claims (many of which were denied payment) in 10 years and when it really counts, they refuse to pay for anything else because in their words, every condition the dog now has can be traced back to his diabetes, which he got AFTER we purchased pet insurance. If you are looking for a pet insurance company that will not dupe you when it is truly needed and when a pet is truly ill, look elsewhere. There are other companies that do not have maximum payouts - when a pet gets sick the whole point of insurance is to help pay for the illness. Pet's Best (at least when I signed up) never intended to pay beyond the first couple of thousand of dollars even though my premium went from $30 per month to over $90 per month when i finally had enough. They refuse to cover anything else yet charge more and more for coverage. It truly is a shame that they really don’t care about an animals well being they only care about coming out ahead.

Well worth the price

Very pleased with Pet best. They have been there for me. I don’t mind paying the deductible for my dogs. I am so glad they reimburse me for prescriptions and illnesses. My dogs mean the world to me. Thankyou Petbest!

Peace of mind.

We have had Pets Best Insurance for our basset hound Dexter, for 8 years. The peace of mind that we have knowing that Dexter is protected with insurance is a blessing. We know we can give him the best care he needs without the financial worry.

OUTSTANDING

I have filed SEVERAL claims and the claims service and process is OUTSTANDING!! One of my babies passed away and they sent me a card with their condolences. I was frustrated with one claim that I filed, but the card I received was SOOOOO heartfelt. It was at that very moment I said I will be a customer for life!! ???????

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
