An absolute life saver! Truly the best pet insurance out there.

My dog is a mixed breed with a lot of lab in him, making him quite the chewer and destroyer. I never thought that his chewing habit would put him in the hospital, but it did and he had to undergo 2 intensive surgeries, one to get the foreign body removed (a compilation of bits and pieces of things he's chewed off) and another to correct some unforeseen complications. I can't thank Pets Best Insurance enough for all they were able to do for me and my dog. As a college student without a full income, there is no way I would have come anywhere close to being able to afford the hospital bills. It was nice knowing that I had nothing to worry about when it came time to submit my claims to Pets Best, as I knew they would cover everything. I have the $100 yearly deductible, 90% reimbursement plan.

Extremely positive experience

My kitty was diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis a few weeks ago. She was experiencing some complications and we needed to go to the vet a few times. She even required a hospitalization at an emergency clinic for a couple days to help stabilize her and really figure out everything that was going on. I had peace of mind knowing I had Pets Best insurance for her as the bills stacked up. The claims process was incredibly easy. I was given a time frame for when to expect the claim to be processed. The explanation of benefits was very clear and easy to understand what exactly went toward our deductible, what was covered and paid for, and what was not covered. Everything in the claim was itemized based on our itemized receipts from the vet, so I could see exactly where all the numbers came from. We didn't have any surprises there and the claim was processed quickly. We received our reimbursement shortly after the claim was processed. I've had an extremely positive experience and I've been urging friends and family members to get insurance for their pets through Pets Best if they don't already have it!

Fast and responsive

Insurance claims processing is always very fast and pets best is very responsive. I find the EOBs very informative and generally don't have any questions.

Very happy

My claim was for wellness care, shots, flea and tick control, and heart worm preventative. My claim was paid as stated in the insurance documents in a very timely manner and directly deposited into my bank account. Very happy with the process!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
