Awesome pet insurance that pays quickly and has great customer service!
After the initial review of records from the vet that took about 2 months for Nationwide to process after we signed up for pet insurance, all claims have been processed very quickly. Customer service answers the phone quickly and are very helpful and knowledgeable. Getting this pet insurance from Nationwide is the best thing we could have done for our dog. She has gotten into something in the dirt in our yard three times and had horrible diarrhea twice and vomiting the last time for 9 days! She was very sick all 3 times and each visit was over $1,000 vet bill. Nationwide processed the claim after it was submitted and deposited the money in our account in 2-3 days. I have never experienced this kind of service from an insurance company ever before for people or animals!! Faxing the claim form with vet notes and bill is very easy and the online account access is very helpful too. The hospital I work at offered Nationwide Pet Insurance almost 3 years ago and signing up is one of the best decisions we've ever made. There are a few different plans you can purchase but we got the prevention and illness/injury plan and our premium has barely gone up even though we have had many claims. I have also talked with a few colleagues that have also got plans for their pets and we all raved about this wonderful insurance plan!! Thank you so much Nationwide for a wonderful experience! You are awesome!!!

Always easy!
I have two pets, and one is insured by Nationwide and one for another company. I much prefer the Nationwide plan, coverage and claims experience. They cover more and at a lower price than my other dog's company. I will probably switch to have both dogs on Nationwide in the near future. Claims are easy, fast, and with generous re-payment. I don't feel like their penny pinching me! I feel like I am getting what I pay fo!

Very good customer service
Calling to check coverage was very helpful. Making a claim was very easy. I'm glad I have pet insurance through Nationwide!

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
