Nationwide always responds quickly to my claims and is very helpful!

I appreciate how quickly Nationwide processes claims and explains why you do/don’t get money back for each item. Most expenses are covered, and anything that isn’t is mostly understandable. I’m so glad we have Nationwide Pet Insurance for our doggo! One thing I don’t understand, though, is why spaying/neutering isn’t covered. That procedure is usually a good thing for the pet (can prevent reproductive-related cancers and other diseases), so you would think Nationwide would want to encourage pet owners to spay/neuter their dogs. Either way, though, Nationwide is still a great insurance provider!

Worry-Free Pet Bills

My cat Shadow, who is now 16 years old, was diagnosed with UTI, Kidney Failure, and Hyperthyroidism. She has had to have medication, hospitalization, and ongoing treatments. The bills have been mounting but I am so glad I have pet insurance with Nationwide. After deductible, they cover 90% of the bill which is a tremendous help financially. I would never want to have my beloved pet put down simply because I couldn't afford her medical bills!

There When We Needed Them

We take really good care of our two German Shepherds. They’re basically spoiled rotten; and we couldn’t treat them any better. We’ve protected both with Nationwide Pet Insurance. Our oldest has been covered for almost seven years while our younger pup has been covered for a little over a year. We’ve been lucky in that over the years we’ve had only a couple of significant events and our coverage was very helpful, financially. Most recently we had a major incident that required emergency surgery at significant expense. While some pet owners might question the expense, there was no question in our minds that we would do what was best for our Petra, regardless of cost. Insurance or no insurance. She’s not just an amazing dog, she’s an Indispensable part of our family. Petra came through the surgery like a champion and so did Nationwide. We had to pay the bill in full the day of the surgery and we submitted the claim a few days later, using an app and simply submitting a photo of the bill. A little over a week later we received a check from Nationwide that helped pay for a big chunk of that bill. Having that coverage was extremely helpful financially and going forward it provides a peace of mind that means a lot, especially given the economic uncertainty brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s hard to compare other insurance companies because we’ve always only been with Nationwide but Nationwide has always been there for us when we needed them; which validates our decision to go with them from day one. I guess it’s easy to say you can’t go wrong in choosing Nationwide for your pet coverage. They don’t just talk the talk; they walk the walk. Like I stated earlier, we take really good care of our two German Shepherds and a large part of that care is the coverage we’re provided through Nationwide. 4-thumbs and 8-paws up.

It's comforting to have the peace of mind to know I can take care of my dog and still afford to cover my living expenses.

I left another insurance company for Nationwide Pet Insurance and I'm glad I did. I could not have foreseen the excessive medical expenses I would have for my dog in addition to having to make ends meet during a global pandemic. Nationwide has ensured that not only I don't have to give up my dog but that he can live a long happy and healthy life, and I can still take care of my family's other needs. The customer service has been friendly and helpful and the claim service quick and easy. I wouldn't choose any other company to help me protect the four-legged members of my family. Thank you, Nationwide.
