Easy access, claim turnaround

Excellent turn around in paying claims. I marked "Good" for coverage because I know that it could be better if I would upgrade. It has nothing to do with the bearing on the product itself. Overall I have been very pleased that I purchased the coverage. Thank you.

Pet health insurance

I've had insurance for my pets for the past couple of years. I wondered if it was a huge waste, but decided to send in bills and see about the coverage. The insurance monies back were very good, and when one of my covered dogs died last year, although he had been seen, had dental care, and a month later passed, Nationwide returned some of the premium and even more with a lovely condolence note! I tell everyone how pleased I am with this company.

Best Pet Insurance Ever!

Our big-boy Ducky needed a major unexpected surgery. As a pet owner the worst feeling ever is to see you pet in pain! We paid for the surgery and have been nursing Ducky back to health. He is doing much better now and with the coverage we have from Nationwide we don't have to worry about the financial burden this surgery would have cost us. Nationwide was really on our side on this one! Thank you to everyone at Nationwide for their support and for their part in the recovery of our buddy.

Awesome Insurance

Yes, this pet insurance might be a bit on the pricier side compared to other Pet insurances, but they literally cover *almost* everything you can think of!! My little Clementine is special! Not once has nationwide ever given me a hard time when it comes to claims. If something is returned back to me, it's usually due to missing information on my behalf. I feel a huge sense of relief knowing that my Baby is covered with Nationwide. THANK YOU!!!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
