Great Coverage

I have zero complaints with Nationwide Pet Insurance. My pup has been sick on and off this year and they have saved us so much money due to their extensive coverage of illness and wellness. Submitting claims through the VitusVet app could not be any easier. Thank you!

My wallet is not completely empty

I took Gemma, our chocolate lab, in for a spay appointment in May. Due to a serious illness earlier this year, the vet suggested doing extra blood work prior to performing surgery to make sure her liver was functioning at 100%. Following the procedure, the bill was over $500!! We were so thankful we had pet insurance on Gemma. She did great and is now healthy and spayed and my wallet is not completely empty.

I've had Nationwide since my Golden Retriever, Gypsy, was 8 weeks old. I've been extremely happy with the claim process.

I've had Nationwide Pet Insurance since my Golden Retriever, Gypsy, was 8 weeks old. She's now 9 years old and I've never had a complaint regarding the claim process. It's been much easier than my OWN health insurance. Congratulations on a well run company.

Great Coverage

I have been very impressed with Nationwide Pet Insurance. The claims are quickly processed and i am often blow away by how much is covered. I recommend this to anyone.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
