Reliable pet coverage with a swift claims and other notification process.

I have had insurance with Nationwide since early on for my pet and as fate would have it, I have had to make claims under the policy. Nationwide has a very efficient claims process. You web site is intuitive and easy to use. Better than many I have seen. I have recommended Nationwide to many friends interested in getting pets. Can't say enough about the company and would never suggest to anyone to go without insurance. .

Thank you for helping Smokey when he was ill, we really appreciate it.

Smokey, my yorky, had a bout of diarrhea. Luckily it was nothing serious, but because of Nationwide I was able to appropriately test and treat him. He now is free from diarrhea and is happy and healthy again.

We are very pleased with Nationwide Pet Insurance!

Pet insurance is like all insurance. You are paying a premium that may or may not be used, but that can be very beneficial when a serious condition possibly could arise! The peace of mind of having coverage that can assist in taking care of unexpected illness or accident is very valuable to many of us pet owners. I will continue to have this insurance, and hope that we will not have to use it! But in the possible event that it is needed, we have the peace of mind that we are covered by one of the best insurance companies in the world!

Thank you so much for taking the financial burdon out of the picture and giving me peace of mind.

I am going through a very difficult and heartbreaking time with my beautiful brindle pit mix, Kumiko. It has been such a relief and I am so grateful to have the financial burden removed from the picture. I can focus on getting her the care she needs and not loosing sleep over the cost, Thank you, thank you, thank you <3 <3 <3 I recommmend you guys to everyone all the time!!!!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
