Great company, Great plan
The Wellness plan is the best and has helped our pets immensely. Customer service reps are excellent. My main complaint is that claims take 30 days to process, which was not the promise made when signing up for this insurance.

False Advertising Insurance
My dog, Maggie was hospitalized due to pneumonia, she was in a critical condition and almost died.
To add to the stress, Nationwide barely paid for any of her hospitalization although I have Major Medical insurance.
I purchased the insurance to have peace of mind if my dog was ever this ill. Well, I'm now sorry that I did. They falsely advertise that hospital stays and major illnesses are covered.
The initial claim took 30 days to pay out. I sent in additional information 2 weeks ago and feel like it went into a black hole.
I am patiently waiting for additional reimbursement for the claims that I have submitted.

Amazing customer service, well worth it
Nationwide has been there for us through it all. They have great customer service and have protected our pet through multiple surgeries that came after he got hit by a car. Couldn’t have provided the care he got without nationwide.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
