Website has been inaccessible for months
Insurance is great as far as covering claims, but gets very expensive for old purebred dogs. Their website is now useless. I've been kicked out of it for two months because of some widespread problem they apparently had, and now nobody can fix the issue and get me access. I've called six times - always told it will be fix but it never is. They do give you a way to submit a claim without the site, but I can't see status of past claims and when I call about an unpaid claim, sometimes they say there's no record of the claim. They also told me they would send me a list of claims with status, but never did. I would have kept that information separately on my own, but I've always relied on their site to look things up. Now you can't do that.
For a company the size of Nationwide, you'd think they could fix a data issues with their site, but they can't. Be cautious - maybe look for better options.

Nationwide Pet Ins; Excellent & Trustworthy
Please know, I am committed to giving my precious Emi the best possible medical care and so (in the end) have no regrets. I submitted the particular invoice to Nationwide for the recent visit and tests completed by the Nevada Vet Cardiologist (first time) which amounted to a cost of $1000.00.
I did not expect to receive reimbursement from Nationwide for $880.00! I would have been more than ok to receive half the amount (which I chose to submit). You folks are so very special! I just wanted to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all you do, your continued support, commitment, professionalism, and kindness you have shown me throughout these many years.

DO NOT EVER USE NATIONWIDE FOR ANYTHING ESPECIALLY PET INSURANCE!!! Garret has pet insurance with them through his job and we just got notice that they are canceling the policy for our dog and cat on December 1st due to "rising cost" and "inflation". I will never use them again and never ever recommend them to anyone and I urge anyone that has them to switch.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.

Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
