Amazing Customer Service

Nationwide is amazing with their customer service. The ease of submitting the claim, the quick turnaround to receive your money makes having the insurance a must. If I have a question it is answered and if there is an illness involved they calm and sincere sympathy is felt and appreciated.

Liza

Fast in paying on a claim. Still waiting on the medical portion of the claim. What was paid was on the wellness visit. Liza is not sick. What didn't get paid was the aspirate of a histiocytoma which will probably go toward deductible anyway. I'm new at having pet insurance (relatively speaking) so did not know that the aspirate was not considered within the wellness visit.

Very Easy!!

Been extremely happy with my pet Insurance. So easy to make a claim. After a vet visit I just enter all my info online. Usually within a couple weeks I have my insurance check. I wish my own insurance was this easy!

I will only ever insure my pets through Nationwide.

Nationwide is by far the best insurance company for pets. They seem to be the only company that understands that pets are not just pets, they are family. Excellent customer service with speedy resolution of claims. My wife and I have used other companies for our pet insurance, but never again will we look beyond Nationwide. Hands down, the best company.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
