I'm so glad I opted for the Wellness plan for my cat becuase preventative dental care is very important for cats too!
My cat Kermit had his teeth cleaned recently and a tooth extracted as part of his wellness care. I'm so glad I got the Wellness plan. I feel so much better giving him the preventative care so that we can take care of issues while he is healthy and on the younger side, so that they do not become major health problems at a later stage. Kermit is doing very well. And I appreciate the quick processing of his claim. Thank you Nationwide!

Mixed Feelings
I believe Nationwide/VPI is a very good company but I seem to remember that they covered a lot more 10 years ago as my elder pets needed them. I did receive a great reimbursement from the dental/medical procedure my cat just had and I’m very thankful, but his ongoing disease is very expensive and I feel we max out very early in the year. Maybe I don’t completely understand the plan so I’m going to call to see if my vets and I are submitting claims correctly. I am just worried that should my pet need some procedure that is very costly and his chances are good, it would be painful to have to give him up because of cost.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
