Easy to File a Claim but it Takes a While to Process
I submit claims through the VitusVet app. It's easy to submit the claim via the app. My only issue is that it takes a couple of days from when you submit the claim on the app to receive an email confirming that your claim was received. It takes even more longer to process the claim (sometimes a few weeks).

So happy I have Nationwide
Nationwide is my first experience with pet health insurance and I will never use another one. The ease of applying, filing claims, and the prompt review and payment within 30 days is fantastic! In my over 2 years experience with Nationwide as my dog's insurer, there has only been one claim that was sent back to me for more information, and it was legitimately my error when I filed it. I gathered up the information, faxed it over, and the claim was reprocessed within days.
I truly can't recommend a better pet health insurance company!

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
