Great customer service! But the premiums are a little expensive. Especially if you have more than one pet on the policy.

Life Saver
Thank god for this pet insurance! We have 4 dogs and as you can imagine, our vet bills are crazy. But thanks to Nationwide, we re-coup most of our money.
Submitting claims is super easy the turnaround time is usually within 3 weeks. Insurance is never cheap but we rest easier knowing that in case of an emergency,
Nationwide is there to help!

Still trying to decide if I like Nationwide as compared to Embrace
I have received many letters telling me that my dog has too many preexisting conditions that won't be covered. I think one letter would suffice but many of them rubbing it in my face. I think Nationwide is best for those who have puppies and to stay with the company for the entire time not those who have older pets. We fought against pre-existing conditions clause for humans... that should be applied to our animals as well.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
