Hope you never need it, but, glad when you do need it!

Unfortunately, our rescue Toller (maybe a mix?) came to us with a series of health issues that have appeared over the years. Nationwide has been very good in helping us give Esau the best care we could because they helped defray some of the expenses. We also have our cats insured with Nationwide! Also, our Vet, Dr. Willhite works with us & Nationwide by not ordering tests that are unnecessary & expensive.

I would have given a 10 for everything if my monthly premium didn't go up so much!

I have thoroughly enjoyed being with Nationwide -- starting with the monthly cost, the coverage, ease of submitting claims and the direct deposit for reimbursement. However, the fact that my premium went up by $38 PER MONTH will not be sustainable if it continues every year. My dog is healthy and the only claims last year were for spaying and wellness check up. I could almost understand such an increase if she was sickly and constantly at the vet, but that's not the case. I will ride it out this year, but going forward if it continues to increase in this way, I will have to leave Nationwide.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
