Great Pet Insurance

Very quick response time when filing a claim. My only complaint would be when it comes to prescriptions that are monthly that you need the vet to send the prescription. Flea and tick and heart worm never change and need to be taken monthly so don’t understand why it’s so hard to file for that. Other wise very grateful for this insurance and the customer service people have been very helpful and friendly. Thank you

I will never again have a dog without doggie insurance. The benefits certainly outweigh the cost of the product.

Claim Filing

Very easy to file a claim. Prompt payment. The only complaint I have is not being able to access the EOBs and claim status on the web site. Continually receive a message that the site is undergoing routine maintenance. Kept getting the same message for over two weeks. I sent an E-mail regarding this, and was advised to try using another browser as there wasn't an issue with the site. I tried that, and still received the same message. Glad it wasn't as difficult to file an on-line claim.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
