Thank you for the coverage

Raki was limping one evening after I got home from work. I made an appointment for the next day, and they saw him & asked if I wanted x-rays to make sure there was no hairline fracture, and of course, I said "yes". Luckily, nothing was broken, and he just needed rest (and no running or jumping until the injury got better) Everything was covered by insurance except the deductible and tax! I am so grateful to have pet insurance!

I wish the HUMAN medical insurance companies would use Nationwide's Pet Insurance as a standard!

I honestly cannot say enough about Nationwide. The website platform is comprehensive and intuitive. The claims process is beyond easy and so current, allowing digital submission - no paperwork! The response time on claims is really shocking (in a good way) to me. And finally, the coverage is fair - something I cannot say about my personal health insurance coverage. LOVE Charlie's Nationwide policy. I have been a member for almost two decades, back when it was VPI pet - and plan to be as long as I have a dog.

Review the entire claim - all of the details not just the summary

When I submitted 3 claims for a biopsy with gastroplexy which included an x-ray screening for cancer due to weight loss the claim was denied for preventative. The issue was the gastroplexy preventative surgery was only $185 of the $4000 claim. I had to appeal the claim which was then approved but of the 28 pages with receipts for the 3 claims (1 claim containing 3 bills) only 3 of the 5 bills were paid so I had to call a 3rd time to see why some of the pages weren't reviewed and why the claim person didn't bother to see why there was a $600 difference from the claim page and the single receipt they looked at. While it is now all resolved this is the second time I've had to go through this process.

After 15 years of insuring my dogs with Nationwide/formerly VPI, I'm still happy with all aspects of coverage.

Nationwide Pet Insurance has helped me take good care of my dogs without financial worries. I like the coverage I get for the price I pay. I especially appreciate that the claims representatives always figure out how to get me the best payment per my policy. I will continue to recommend this insurance to others, and will always have my animals covered by them. Buddy (may he rest in peace), Snoopy (may she live a long and healthy life) and I thank you!
