I tell everyone (including the Vet) how great Nationwide Pet Insurance is and we will continue to purchase through them.

We did not have insurance for prior pets and decided when we adopted Buffy that we would start it from day 1 and have not looked back. We've never had a problem with a claim and they are processed in a timely manner. For any new fur babies that would happen to come into our lives we will put them on with Nationwide. If it's good enough for Dale Earnhart Jr, it's good enough for us!

Love Nationwide!!

I love Nationwide Insurance! The ease of filing a claim and the method of how quickly they pay are just a few of the reasons.. They make me feel very secure knowing that they cover my baby Jac so well.

Does not cover anything and have to redo claims 10 times to get anywhere

Horrible. Customer service gives me the run around every time and never the same answer to the same question. They also do not seem very knowledgeable. Claims have to be redone 10 times bc there is always something missing even though I give them exactly what they ask for just to have them deny the claim and ask for something different. In the end it never really covers much bc the people paying out the claim are the same ones coding it.

Review of Claim for Tucker Swim

Each time I have called Nationwide they have been so amazingly helpful, pleasant and courteous. The policy it self has been amazing and lifesaving for our dog. Unfortunately, we just had Tucker at the emergency vet last week again so I will be submitting another claim sadly, but having this insurance has taken away the financial burden and potentially tough decisions of whether or not to move forward with certain levels of care. I have talked this policy up to all of my pet owner friends. It has been a saving grace for myself and our family over the course of the past tough months with Tucker.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
