Fast, easy, claims and good. coverage

Nationwide covered most of the cost of Rock's TPLO surgery (77% covered). I appreciate how quickly they processed the claims. I was concerned his second knee would not be covered, but was happy with the results.

Sets our mind at ease

Gimlet is undergoing treatment for cancer. The ease of claim submission, along with customer service and payment is great. It is stressful enough to be going through this with Gimlet, but knowing we can do all we can for her, sets our minds at ease.

The claim process was a very quick turnaround and fairly easy to do, but follow-up and communication needs improvement

We recently submitted a claim following vet visit and procedures for Teddy. The claim form was easy to find, but I wish there was a quicker online form instead of having to download the PDF to fill out then resubmit. Following that, the claim reimbursement was quick. The only qualms I had was that I did not get up-front/ clear expectations of the next steps. I wish I would get a more personalized email letting me know the details of the claim.

Nationwide pet insurance is sent from heaven!

I have had Nationwide Pet Insurance for over two years for my 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier and the are simply the best! They are so kind and pleasant when I call with questions and their claims process is simple. I always feel like they love my pet as much as I do. Signing up with their wellness plan was one of the best decisions I have made. Thank you, Nationwide!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
