Great pet insurance company.

Nationwide is a terrific pet insurance company. I mail my claims and always get a notice from them within a week that they are processing my claim. My payment is directly deposited into my checking account within days. I have had the insurance for almost 2 years and they have improved their response time greatly. You are also supplied with a complete explanation of benefits. I would recommend them highly.

Gives you piece a mind at a stressful time

My son (rottweiler) has had medical issues and it very comforting knowing I will get help with the expenses and do not have to stress and get what is needed done and have financial help for the bills.

I love Vitus Vet App because it makes it super easy to file claims and Nationwide is prompt in paying the claims!

Nationwide has provided very good service and response once I figured out how to use the Vitus Vet app. We are grateful to have coverage for our senior beloved Golden so our decisions for his care are not colored by the expense.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
