Speedy claim processing

When our previously always-healthy cat Shirley began vomiting regularly, we eliminated certain common diseases through a blood test, but she needed an ultrasound to look deeper into what was going on. Pancreatitis was the diagnosis, and while dealing with illness is stressful, we were relieved to have found a treatable cause for her symptoms. Lab tests are expensive, though, and Nationwide's speedy claim processing helped us avoid that additional stress.

So happy I am pet insurance with Nationwide!

A few years ago, my company began offering pet insurance through Nationwide. Never heard of pet insurance before, so I was hesitant. Needless to say, it is the best decision ever made! The amount of coverage has been very helpful. From yearly vaccines to dental cleaning, Nationwide pet insurance has helped with expenses to care for and maintain Trudy's health and well-being. Tucker loves Nationwide.

I have insurance with the extra care. It is expensive but worth it. It was a hard lesson to learn with my last dog. The minute Tucker was born and the check was in the breeders hand I called for coverage.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
