They will cancel your plan. They canceled mine TWICE in TWO YEARS.

I asked Nationwide where I could give feedback to their decision makers and they sent me an email with this website, so...it's not what I asked for, but okay. Two stars because for the first couple of years, I loved being a Nationwide Pet customer and even recommended it to many friends. Now I deeply regret doing so. When I chose Nationwide for my new puppy in 2021, Nationwide said my Whole Pet with Wellness policy was "guaranteed for the life of the pet" and they said I would be "grandfathered in" should their plan offerings ever change. They literally sold me the product saying that. I believed them. That was a mistake. They broke their promises and assurances and in early 2025, "discontinued" our plan. They offered a much lesser plan and because my dog now had pre-existing conditions for any other insurance, I felt forced to take the My Pet Protection plan. Well guess what -- early 2026, I am notified now THAT plan is also being "discontinued." They then offer me a third plan in three years, at an astronomically high premium. We were forced to leave Nationwide and go to another insurance where now my dog has pre-existing conditions. I know none of this matters to Nationwide. But since they sent me this website to leave my feedback, maybe I can warn people considering Nationwide Pet -- DO NOT go with Nationwide. Their promises mean nothing. You cannot trust this pattern of behavior. Honestly I truly believe they want to get out of pet insurance entirely. Read online about all the pets and people they've hurt over the past three years. There are literally class action lawsuits being discussed. There are facebook groups and reddit threads where people trade horrible stories of how Nationwide screwed them over by canceling and discontinuing their policies. Nationwide's priorities are corporate profits. NOT your beloved pets. I will never trust Nationwide again for any form of insurance.

It’s easy to get the pet insurance-research the prices

It’s easy to get the pet insurance, not easy to modify what parts of the coverage you want and need. I did do it all by myself.
