Even though the monthly cost is VERY high, I wouldn't dream of having a pet without pet insurance.
Even though monthly cost is high, my guy is 10 years old and let's face it - dogs get sick! Nationwide has been very good to us -- worth the price --
although would love it to be little less!!!

Claim processing could be more efficient
You should be able to submit online rather than having to download a form sign it and fax in. Once submitted it takes a few days to get an acknowledgement that the claim was received.
I wish the coverages were stronger for regular checkups and maintenance medicines such as flea and tick and heart worm. Insurance should encourage the use of these medicines and pay for more of them. I get reimbursed for about 1/4 of my spend which is not all that good. I pay close to $600 a year for coverage and never come close to that in reimbursement.

NATIONWIDE HAS EXCEPTIONALLY WELL TRAINED AGENTS WHO ARE PROFESSIONAL YET FRIENDLY AND KIND. ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL. ALWAYS HELPFUL. THE CLAIM PROCESS IS BETTER NOW THAN ITS EVER BEEN. IT IS SIMPLE AND USER FRIENDLY. RETURN TIME FROM MAKING A CLAIM TO ELECTRONICALLY RECEIVING YOUR PAYMENT IS BETTER & FASTER THAN ITS EVER BEEN. I APPRECIATE ALSO THE EMAILS LETTING ME KNOW THE CLAIM HAD BEEN RECEIVED AND THE CLAIM NUMBER ASSIGNED TO IT. WE ONLY WISH THE MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS WERE LOWER, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR A LONG TIME CLIENT AS WE ARE. I WOULD AND DO DEFINITELY RECOMMEND NATIONWIDE PET INSURANCE TO MY FRIENDS AND RELATIVES

Blessed to know that my fur baby (Harmony) is WELL COVERED for most everything she needs!
I am so thrilled with the coverage and care that Harmony gets through Nationwide Insurance. My Vet's office processes ALL my paperwork through your system seamlessly! Within DAYS ♥☺ I have a DIRECT DEPOSIT into my checking account - HOW GOOD IS THAT??? We are TOTALLY happy, satisfied, and comforted by the ENTIRE process that you have set up. Also, the 24/7 hotline has really nice people on the chat and answers questions. This is a WIN-WIN-WIN for us. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
