MetLife | Pet Insurance Review

I’m a new pet owner December 2024 and wanted to do the right thing and get insurance so I did in January of this year but I don’t recall the representative telling me I needed to wait 15 days before the policy went into effect long story short I took my dog to the vet before the 15 days they said she has allergies so nothing pertaining to her allergies is covered because I guess it’s considered preexisting if I’ve never had a pet or insurance how was I supposed to know she had allergies so to me it seems like pet insurance is a scam and I’m more than likely will cancel my policy because she has to get a shot once a month and since I have to pay upfront why do I need the insurance?

Quick easy claim creation. Annoying to always need to request doctor’s notes. After first claim of the year, claims got quicker to process. Fast payments right to my account via Zelle.

I'm not a computer genius so a lot of times I run into some difficulties especially on trying to get it right customer service is always so great they can either walk me through it or forget it to process. The team at MetLife has been good to us

Every time that I file a claim, I have absolutely no problem with the service that I get. I do not get any questions or problems with my claim. Other companies should follow suit.
