Helped Me with a Major Expense with No Hassle
I decided to get insurance when a friend's dog came down with a grave illness, and they didn't have the money to care for her. So I decided to look into pet insurance for my guy before something like this happened to us.
It is fairly expensive, partially because I got the plan that covers upkeep medications etc as well as emergencies. Plus my dog did get a hernia this year and had to have a surgery that was very expensive. I still looked around and found a surgeon at a better cost than the city veternarians, and between that and Met Life it worked out very well. I got my paperwork done, and have figured out how to get repaid when a major thing comes up. I feel good about this choice for my dog.
