Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

While the monthly cost of insurance is significant (and rising annually), the reimbursement rates are pretty high and the customer service is excellent. On this last point- the employees are friendly, the website is easy to use, the claim submission process is simple, and the turnaround time is speedy. We've had more than our fair share of unplanned vet visits with our active dog over the past few years, and having this insurance in place keeps us from too much worry about being able to provide the type of medical care she needs.

Healthy Paws has been the most responsive pleasant company I have ever dealt with. They treat you and your pet with genuine kindness and very fast attention to your claims. They ARE there when you need them!!!

Healthy paws helped save the use of my dogs leg with no hesitation and no questions. Without healthy paws I wouldn't have been able to give Goldie the care she needed. I didn't have to choose from a list of providers either. I picked the time, place, and doctor for Goldie's surgery, all expenses cover 90% and I got my check reimbursed within 5 days. My husband and I recently needed to file a claim for our dog, Leo, after he had a strange bout of acute vomiting and diarrhea. I had forgotten that I had a policy out for Leo with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and am so glad that I did! Their policy options are amazing. I appreciate the ability to choose to have 90% reimbursed with a relatively low deductible for a reasonable monthly payment. I still feel a bit silly paying for pet insurance but currently my husband and I are not financially able to handle a major veterinary bill for things like this recent issue and the monthly premium is much more manageable. Their claims management team worked quickly with us to process the claim. It's been less than a week since we received the final claim statement, so still waiting on the check but we expect to receive it in the next few days. The best part of this most recent experience is that I realized another past vet visit was covered and I was able to submit that claim as well!

Outstanding service. They cover so many things and really saved me the agony of having to pay for something that I can't really afford right now.
