Our fur baby is 3 years old yellow lab who unfortunately tore his ACL/CCL and had to go through TPLO surgery, I am so glad we took Healthy Paws Pet insurance since he was puppy. Healthy Paw covered 90% of the bill for his surgery and in very timely manner. Having 3 pups in house, we have filed claims a lot in past. It was very easy to file claim online and get refund super fast. We have all my 3 fur babies covered with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and this was our best decision ever to have all 3 covered with the insurance. I would recommend everyone to have Healthy Paws as insurance for their fur babies.

This is the best company I have ever dealt with.
I wanted to share the great success that we have had with our HEALTHY PAWS PET INSURANCE for our nearly 3 yr-old Great Dane Tank our 10 month-old Basset Hound, Chubbers. Although Tank is not quite 3 yrs-old, he has had two neuro-surgeries, a broken tail which resulted in an infection and eventual amputation, the removal of his anal glands (due to a likely related infection) and various other more minor problems. Although he is very healthy today, these surgeries have cost in excess of $35,000. Our little Chubbers (who likes to eat things and get obstructed) has had two surgeries and other expenses exceeding $12,000. For all of these problems we have paid a total of 10%. The insurance has been INCREDIBLE. We pay a monthly rate that is based on zip code and breed (we are in a very expensive area and Danes are obviously one of the most expensive breeds) of about $100 month (by comparison our basset hound is about $50 a month) and then we pay a $250 per year deductible. Once that deductible is reached, Healthy Paws pays 90% of any costs. The only things they don't cover are the veterinary examinations, elective surgeries like spay and neutering or stomach tacking (unless medically necessary-for instance if they have bloated before) and hips until the dogs are 18 months of age. Unlike many other pet insurance companies, there are no breed excluded conditions, no lifetime caps on the policy and you pick the veterinarian where your dog is treated. The surgeries on Tank and Chubbers have been incredibly expensive and Healthy Paws has never challenged one penny of any bill. My wife, who is a reconstructive pediatric plastic surgeon, has commented that the insurance companies she has to work with in human medical care are not this easy to deal with, nor this prompt with payment. The claims have always been paid within a week of filing. The only issue is that you need to be aware of is that they will not cover preexisting conditions, so you should get the policy as soon as you bring your puppy home.
I am writing this review because this insurance has been such an incredible benefit for our family. I have no affiliation with the company, I do not own any stock, I am just a customer who has been incredibly impressed with this company. This insurance is a great idea for any pet owner and a MUST for any Dane owner.

Healthy Paws is amazing! From answering all my questions and making the claim process effortless to even checking in on my pup after his surgery they have been kind and helpful. It doesn't even feel like an insurance company. I would highly recommend them to any pet owner!

Quick & Easy
Our dog Ruby had an operation for an intestinal blockage. After getting the bill for nearly $4,000, I went on line uploaded the bill and medical record. I received approval, no questions asked, within a couple of days. Check followed within a few weeks. More than satisfied with their service.
