They’re the only pet insurance company to offer up to 100% reimbursement, so big vet bills won’t break the bank. Figo customers have exclusive access to the Figo Pet Cloud app, including features like a 24/7 Virtual Vet and easy mobile claim filing. No pet insurance company covers pre-existing conditions, but Figo is the only one who will help you identify those conditions at the start of your policy. If you don’t think you’ll get value out of pet insurance after your initial review, just cancel within 30 days of signing up to get your money back.

Read the Contracts, then Pick FIGO

I am extremely analytical in nature. I probably studied the details of pet insurance for 40-50 man hours (also putting it against just saving money in a savings account) before deciding to go with FIGO. If you narrow it down to the top 2 or 3 and compare their coverage, it's easy to see that FIGO covers quite a bit more with fewer exclusions. Anyway, on to my personal story: my "boys" two English Bulldogs, 1 and under 1 have not had great luck. The youngest got pneumonia, racked up a 1900 between the emergency vet and regular vet within the second month of having FIGO. I held my breath because I had read so many awful reviews online of other companies but they were truly wonderful and I totally trust them now after repeated positive experiences. I wish their hadn't been so many claims this first year but I'm chalking it up to the puppy stages with these guys.

Excellent service and policy coverage

This company was recommended by the veterinary hospital that attended to our dogs and I could not be happier with the coverage that is provided as well as the exceptional customer service we've experienced from the time we requested a quote to our first time submitting claims. Claims were approved within 2 weeks of submission and anything that was not covered was clearly identified (although 99% was covered for the surgery and treatment of our dog). Their website and app is very well-designed and easy to use. Definitely recommend!!

Customer service has been excellent. It seems filing claims will be a snap. I currently have another pet insurance for my two dogs, but they are raising the premiums extremely high. FIGO's rates are competitive with great coverage.

Best Pet Insurance with Real People Accessible to Help

The entire team at Figo has saved me over and over again. My friends speak of their disappointment and declined claims from Nationwide, Trupanion, and Healthy Paws, and I am so grateful to feel the exact opposite about Figo. I've never had a claim denied and I'm eternally grateful for not only their coverage, but their excellent staff who genuinely cares about my dog's health. Simple "Get well soon" cards and occasional goodies like portable water/food bowls are cherries on top of a wonderful company. I would recommend them to anyone!

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
