Constant Premium Increases

I was excited when I signed up, stupidly thinking that the premiums would be somewhat fixed, but the 2018-2019 increases were double what I was paying and triple what I signed up for. I don’t want to use the term “bait and switch” because it’s not exactly that, but close enough for me to type it here. I made one claim in 3 years for about $100 because my vet is so affordable, yet I am told vet rates in my area are increasing, justifying huge increases. Self insure. Put some money aside.

I've had a couple different experiences…

I've had a couple different experiences with claims. The first was very frustrating. I was automatically denied a claim because they thought my dog's allergies were a pre-existing condition without even checking in with me. Once I could prove it wasn't pre-existing, they paid my claim. The second experience was excellent. I submitted my claim when my dog was hit by a car, and the next day the claim was closed/paid.

Figo has been a lifesaver for my dog Winston!

Figo has been a lifesaver for my dog Winston! The insurance paid for 100 percent of his medical bills after my $200 deductible. Customer service is so helpful and kind! They even ask how Winston's feeling after his latest medical issue. As long as you provide the medical records and receipt with how much you paid for services rendered, the claim is promptly paid! It does not pay for routine shots, dental cleanings, and pre-existing conditions, but that is okay since that it is indicated up front in the policy. I highly recommend Figo pet insurance and will never be without pet insurance again! I highly recommend Figo pet insurance!

Not five stars but.....

I can't give really five stars because I only had one interaction with them but the interaction I had was a really good experience. If the rest of the company is like the person I talked to then they will be successful with lots of happy customers. She was awesome, helpful, non judgmental and she never gave me the impression that made her so something she didn't want to do. I hope I don't have to use this product but if this experience is anything to go by with I have no reservations.

We are so thankful for Figo!

We are so thankful for our Figo Pet Insurance. I did tons of research and found Figo to be the best fit of us and our new puppy. The customer service is incredible. The coverage is great. We had no idea we were adopting an accident prone puppy but thanks to Figo we are covered for the day to day things we can not prepare for. I can not say enough how glad we are that we found this company.

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
