I am currently attempting to submit claims for an ear infection for my pet. I am very poor with the Internet and computer systems. The staff is very kind it’s automated so many times it takes both sides longer to implement what they requesting. Recently I sent a five page, fax of all the medical records that I do have. I think the problem is my doctor did not reply to them in a timely manner or at all. I adopted my pet at the end of 23 and sought insurance at the end of 23 knowing that I would not be eligible for any claims. This year, however I have had a month-long encounter with my veterinarian regarding an ear infection that I believe has been cured. The confusion might be that the insurance company thinks I am claiming allergy medicine however I know that she is not eligible as that was a pre-existing condition. Looking for staff comments everyone has been wonderful. The system just doesn’t always work for older people who don’t have the skills to pull that together.Maddie Baldo/ FP130000239921

poor communication to customer
purchased some time ago and this does not say which dog policy this if for. need better communication on this. also see a charge on my credit card for $455.00 for Figo pet insurance and did not receive any notification that there was any renewal on pet insurance due. this is thru Costco and price increase was over $100.00 in 1 year from what I see and no claims made and on a young dog. not happy with the way this was done.

Mindy had a herniated disc a little…
Mindy had a herniated disc a little over a year ago and needed surgery. Figo paid 3/4 of my ten grand bill! Thank God I bought her pet insurance!

Monthly Cost
$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.
Coverage
You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.
Deductible
$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.
Age Limits
Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.
Waiting Period
1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)
Exclusions
Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months
Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences
