Unfortunately this insurance company…

Unfortunately this insurance company like most is a scam. You have to meet a deductible FOR EACH ISSUE. For example if your pet has urinary issues it’s a $450 deductible for urinary issues before they even pay a lousy 80%. Now if say 2 months later your animal goes in for stool issues that’s a whole separate $450 deductible. Meanwhile it starts out cheap to pay per month but as your pet ages your policy increases. Our cat is 10 and we’re now paying $80 a month for them to cover basically nothing. Ridiculous wouldn’t recommend. You’re better saving that money every month so when an issue arises you can pay it yourself.

I have submitted several claims lately…

I have submitted several claims lately for my dog that developed a serious heart condition. All claims were reviewed and approved very quickly. After reaching my deductible, I started getting payments back, too. The communication is excellent - they keep you informed from when the claim was received to when you have the payment. It has been emotional dealing with a sick pet. It's good not to have to worry about paying for their diagnosis and treatment. And now, my dog is doing pretty good. He's on medication and has improved. I am very glad I got Fetch insurance many years ago.

False Advertising

Be advised the advertisement states that co-insurance is the amount you pay AFTER deductible however the language changes after buying the policy. They calculated co-insurance first on my claim them subtracted the deductible. This is backwards and resulted in a loss of $50 on my claim! I’ve emailed for a review on this policy and received a response that someone would be contacting me but weeks later still no review.

Monthly Cost

Plans average $35/month for dogs and $25 /month for cats

Age Limits

Fetch doesn’t enforce upper age limits, so you can enroll your pet any time after it turns six weeks old. Some providers limit coverage for older pets to accident-only. Fetch doesn’t limit coverage by age so that you can get the right care for your buddy, no matter what.

Waiting Period

Fetch’s waiting periods are up to 15 days for accidents and illnesses and six months for orthopedic events.

Exclusions

Fetch won’t cover pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, boarding costs, breeding costs, wellness care items, or accidents and illnesses that occur during waiting periods.
