Thank you, Fetch Pet.

Fetch Pet has been a good partner over the 17 years my little Bichon Frise Marco Polo was covered. We had him covered initially with Pet Plan (before they changed their name to Fetch Pet) when he was just a darling little puppy. Only when he was in intense, unstoppable pain was I able to have him euthanized at 17. And they even covered that. The Fetch Pet website can be a little tricky but once you get used to it, it's simpler. Please - get your little or big fun baby insured!

Easy and no drama to file claims, and they get paid

Submitting claims through the website and app is straightforward and easy. Processing takes a few days currently, but my claims are usually paid without any denials or requests for more information.

Heartless

Fetch Pet Insurance (formerly petplan) is such a heartless pet insurance company. They have this "benefit" where they reimburse you for lose of pet. They've already taken over a week to approve the claim for my dog's euthanasia along with all of the claims leading up to it that documents the illness causing his death. Unlike other per insurances that can put 2 and 2 together, they want you to go print out another form to fill out all of that information again, including getting it stamped from the vet. I thought I was done dealing with going back to the vet. They really want you to peel that scab. Absolutely horrendous and insensitive considering they already have all of the information and proof they needed from the prior claims. I also had to call to explain that my pet was dead in order to cancel the plan. Other per insurances automatically cancel after they approve your final claim that documents euthanasia. Stay away!

I submitted my claim and it was…

I submitted my claim and it was processed quickly. I received my refund in a short time too.

Monthly Cost

Plans average $35/month for dogs and $25 /month for cats

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80% or 90% after your deductible.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$250, $300 and $500

Age Limits

Fetch doesn’t enforce upper age limits, so you can enroll your pet any time after it turns six weeks old. Some providers limit coverage for older pets to accident-only. Fetch doesn’t limit coverage by age so that you can get the right care for your buddy, no matter what.

Waiting Period

Fetch’s waiting periods are up to 15 days for accidents and illnesses and six months for orthopedic events.

Exclusions

Fetch won’t cover pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, boarding costs, breeding costs, wellness care items, or accidents and illnesses that occur during waiting periods.
