Best Pet Insurance Ive Ever Had
Words cannot express how grateful I am to have Fetch pet insurance. At this moment, my beloved dog Lily is being treated for cancer, and knowing that we can count on Fetch to help lessen the financial burden and ensure she can receive the treatment she needs means the world to me. The Fetch app is also great and easy to use. I just upload the invoice and medical records after each visit, and the claims approval process has been very quick, usually approved within a few days and now even better direct deposit is available. Lily has been going to chemo every week now for five weeks, and each week I just go to the app and upload the documents as a continuing claim. Ive been with Fetch (formerly PetPlan) since I adopted Lily over 11 years ago, and before that with Sophie when the company was PetPlan. Ive seen the claims experience evolve from paper forms to now an app, and the process has become streamlined. The only thing I miss is being able to talk to a claims person more easily, as all communication now seems to be done via chat and email. I recently submitted an estimate for pre-authorization (meaning I wanted to know what coverage would be), and even though it was marked as such in the email it became a claim in the app that kept requesting an invoice; I never got an answer on the coverage but the good news is Lily did get the procedure done and it was covered as expected. Sophie had insurance with a different company before PetPlan/Fetch, and the experience was terrible; they denied claims even when her vet wrote letters in support of coverage, and luckily I found PetPlan and was able to switch. PetPlan/Fetch was able to provide coverage when she got cancer, and ensured that finances would not prevent me from getting her treatment. I originally got pet insurance after meeting a woman at the dog park one day. The woman was looking through the fence and crying. I asked her if she was okay, and she tearfully explained that she had just had to put her dog to sleep because the dog needed treatment she could not afford. She said Sophie reminded her of her dog. I got pet insurance that day, hoping to avoid the heartbreak of not just losing your beloved dog but having to make a decision based on finances.
