I received a renewal notice on February 24, 2024. I responded with; "Please cancel this policy at expiration on 4/30/2024". They didn't cancel the policy and debited my card for the premium. I forgot about and believed it was cancelled but they debited my card again for a 2025 premium. When I called to discuss, they said the renewal notice comes from a "do not reply" email address and they were sorry but couldn't help me. The email did not say "do not reply". I asked how I was supposed to know it was a do not reply email and the representative said she didn't know, but that's the way it is. THIS IS FRAUD and anyone working for this company should consider other employment with a company that is fair, honest and forthcoming. Many have trouble with claims and I can certainly understand why. This is a deceitful company!

My experience is always great
My experience is always great, the customer service team is always understanding and explain things in terms the average person can understand.
Our two cats just had extensive dental surgery and we were very worried about the high cost and what pet insurance would cover. Since this is the first time we've had pet insurance, we weren't quite confident about the reimbursement. Fetch not only covered a huge chunk of the $5000 bill, but we got the reimbursement within the week!
Nothing they did was illegal. Just heartless. This is a company that only cares about making money. I was with them for 17 years. They have changed ownership and names a few times. The coverage went down and the rates kept going up.
Once you decide on a pet insurance company, you're pretty well stuck as your pets age and have conditions. Know that going in.
Fetch instituted deductibles PER CONDITION in recent years. That makes it nearly impossible to ever collect. An older pet, like an older human will have multiple conditions. I stayed with them because no other company would take my kitties as they aged or they were prohibitively priced.
In early April, it was clear that my remaining 18 year old kitty was nearing the end. I wasn't going to go to extraordinary means to keep her alive. She had a chronic, terminal condition. I called and cancelled my policy before it renewed at the end of the month. I had a long talk with the cancellation guy, explaining clearly why I was cancelling. One would think he would pass this information along somehow. Instead, I immediately started getting automatic emails asking me to renew, as if I was just switching companies! Seriously? That was heartless enough. But, I had to put her down on 4/22, and I'd already asked if euthanasia was covered. It was in her case, as it was a continuation of a documented condition. I filed immediately, and they've paid a tiny fraction of what I've paid out to them. All legal. That's the insurance business.
But, guess what? I'm still getting solicitation emails, not just one, begging me to renew! The cat is gone! If you had any heart, any communication within your company, Fetch, you'd have sent me condolences and left me alone. Instead, they send automatic, standardized, impersonal, and heartless emails that even use my cat's name!
Stay far away from this company. They won't be there for you. Oh, and if you're a day late beyond their timing for filing a claim, they won't reconsider. They just won't process it. In particularly busy times in my life, I've been a little late. It didn't happen often, but no matter how long you're with them, there are no exceptions. They won't reconsider.
I think venture capital and AI run this company. As long as your pet is young and healthy, you'll get low rates. But even if you stick with them, they will find ways to increase your rates and lower your coverage. No loyalty. Just know that going in.
