Embrace is very easy to use. I signed my pup up as soon as I got him. We've had one illness and I sent in the invoice and got a response to it being covered within just a few days. The reimbursement to me was less than 48hrs from their review. Very easy to use. Great coverage and fast customer service. I have already recommended Embrace to several friends.
We have been paying insurance for our 4 year rescue for two years, no issues to take your money, no requirements or docs needed. Now that we needed to file a claim. They want history from before the adoption which doesn't exist since she was a stray. They keep asking for the same information which doesn't exist. And keep denying the claim.
Stay away from them.
Absolute scam artists. They'll find any way possible to deny your claim, break it down into pieces, classify every possible thing as "wellness", classify all the rest as within your waiting period or a pre-existing condition, and put another lump into the deductible - if they even process anything, because half the time they complain about missing paperwork or medical history. You're lucky if you get anything out of them. Even for a $1500 accident / injury vet episode on a single pet, you might get $500 back - but then think of the hundreds you already paid them to insure the pet for the year. And that assumes your pet actually has any health problems that year. Every time I open this website, I get angry. I've had to fight them for coverage multiple times. We have policies on three pets (two cats and a dog).
TLDR: Not even half of your vet expenses are covered under their policy, and you still have to meet deductibles.
* Unless you pay for "wellness rewards", which is just paying in advance for services you might not even use, for the pleasure of maybe getting your money back.
The only reason we still have this is in case something really bad happens - cancer, broken bones, whatever. I don't know, maybe you get your money back when your pets age, but by then you'll be earning more anyway, and the money will mean less to you than it does now. For healthy pets, this is a ripoff of epic proportions, and it will grind your gears every time you have to deal with them.
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
