Our 5 yr Aussiedoodle01

Our 5 yr. old Aussiedoodle has had his share of claims and Embrace has been a lifesaver to us. We weren't sure if pet insurance was affordable or necessary, but it has proven to be both.

I attempted to stop autopay on thier…

I attempted to stop autopay on thier website because they raised my upcoming premium $2,442.48 in Feb 2026. I've been with them for over 5 years with 2 pets. The website would not allow me to do that. I called and was placed on hold for 20 minutes before deciding to hang up. I sent an email requesting a response with action taken to stop auto pay and remove my credit card information. No response so far.

Overly General Review of Medical History

Reviews of medical history are overly general and appear to be designed to exclude coverage for possible future claims in a broad fashion. The user should ensure that specificity is requested of the claims adjuster completing the review to ensure accuracy. Claims are paid quickly though, so I'll give a second star.

Forever waiting

I have been waiting for a review of my submitted claim for almost 3 months. After I tracked down all the information Embrace requested to rule out a pre-existing condition, I continue to wait on their response. Don’t waste your time trying to reach a human on the phone. The wait is almost always over 1/2 hour and it could be more but I always end up hanging up. Additionally, the website always has glitches and redirects me to an unresponsive page. I’m not sure what’s going on with this company but I’m willing to wait and see how they respond to my claim.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
