I usually have my Vet submit the claims…

I usually have my Vet submit the claims but they really don't want to do that anymore. Then, I submitted the claim forms via snail mail. Now, I forced myself to learn how to do a PDf and submit online. Will be waiting to see if that is better in reimbursement time. However, I have very healthy AKC bred dogs that haven't had any pre-existing conditions or accidents yet the insurance rates keep rising to the point that retired folks can't maintain it. How about senior discounts?

A great insurance for our pet, and we needed to use it!

Everyone we worked with at Embrace Pet Insurance was friendly, efficient and great to work with. Our claims were handled quickly and reimbursement was made quickly. Unfortunately our beloved greyhound, Jet, passed but should we ever have another pet we will use Embrace.

Fair and quick to Approve Claims

Embrace has always been fair and quick to approve claims. Also, I always receive checks quickly. There is an option for direct deposit if you would like to do that. The premiums do continue to go up each year but I like the peace of mind it gives me to have insurance for my dog.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
