only submitted claim

Submitting a claim online was very easy, however I cannot verify how easy it is to get payment. As an update: the payment (64%) did arrive two weeks later. Pretty good.

So far so good

For the most part, I’ve had really good experiences with Embrace. Claims are paid quickly, My recent issue was with the Embrace app itself and Morgan helped resolve the problem. I resubmitted the two claims and hope there won’t be any further issues.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. They take far too long to decide claims, then dodge responsibility by labeling new medical issues as “pre-existing.” Feels dishonest—look elsewhere for a company that actually stands by its coverage.

Embrace Pet Insurance is the best

Embrace Pet Insurance is the best. They process my claims quickly whether our veterinary hospital or I send it in. They are always professional and willing to help with any problem or questions that arise. They never make me feel like it’s an intrusion on their time. I have never had a problem having my claims covered. I have had Embrace Pet Insurance for over six years. I would not deal with any other company.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
