Yay continuing coverage!

I got pet insurance for my two new kittens after spending 3k on my cat before he died. I figured even just paying the premium would still be cheaper than what we spent on medical bills already and at least we’d have peace of mind. Several months after purchasing the complete coverage plan, one cat started having GI issues which ended up requiring RX food, bloodwork, countless checkups and services. ASPCA has made good on all of it. His premium has paid for itself. When I called customer service to ask questions about continuing care when his new policy cycle begins, the call center rep was very kind, patient, honest and informative. Biggest pro is that, unlike other places, conditions can’t be considered pre-existing from a previous policy cycle. TLDR: one cat’s payouts have paid for the premium and then some- my other cat is the pinnacle of health and the payouts haven’t added up, but if he ever has an accident or something like that, I’ll know we’re covered. The preventative care option isn’t the best- I’m dropping it next year. Overall, very pleased. The only sucky thing is the time it takes to process claims. I’ve been with them for a year now and 90% of my claims have taken a month or more to be resolved.

A well rounded pet insurance plan

We shopped around for pet insurance and narrowed our search to about 6 companies and plans. In comparing all side by side, the ASPCA plan had the most benefits for the best price and also didn't feel like we we're paying for things that we really didn't need. I am happy we were able to include a wellness plan and still keep the cost affordable.
