This is the first time I’ve acquired …

This is the first time I’ve acquired pet insurance. I just got a new border terrier puppy. I decided to get ASPCA Pet insurance because my daughter-in-law has it. She had over $8000 in vet bills the first year owning her Doberman and it was covered, less the deductible, thankfully. I thought they would not renew it for next year but they did. She also has it on two of her other dogs but has not ever needed to use it.

Incredible and trustworthy

ASPCA Pet Insurance had been nothing but incredible for Picasso. I've left his annual deductible at 250, annual coverage at 7-10k each year since he was 3 and have reached it twice. Their claims process has been so easy. I'm able to upload my invoices by pictures to their online portal and the longest part is waiting for my vet to send records. Claims during COVID took longer because like everywhere else they had short staffing but they were transparent with estimates on claim completion. ASPCA has covered his TPLO, arthritis, IBD, prescription food, longterm medications, CT, and now chemotherapy. My only mistake was decreasing his coverage thinking I could make it a year at a lower rate but naturally that's when cancer hit. Their customer service has been incredible, employees have been realistic and pleasant, and reimbursement has been quick ( 1 week to 1month during covid). Their premiums aren't the cheapest I've seen but their coverage was the most comprehensive when I signed up. Rates do continue to go up, but so does everything in life. I've thankfully never used it for my cat but I have no doubt they would be just as amazing with her as they have been with Picasso. I recommend them every chance I get!
