It was easy to understand what information I needed to fill out and help was available if I needed it.

A Bit Of A Pain

I haven’t had the need to use it as of yet and I won’t until I meet the $500 deductible. I’d have given 5 stars but if you’re going to continually bug me for reassurance I’m going to mark you down. You want a review? Let’s wait to see how quick you pay when and if I need to file a claim. Okay?

Insurance registration

I didn’t like that it when I got r email to register my membership and when I tried, it said my email was not registered. I also have not received an insurance card for my pets.

The reimbursement turned around

I would say the dislike of what I have is the turnaround for reimbursements?.

I have been reluctant to write a…

I have been reluctant to write a review, but feel that I need to let other pet parents know about my consistent experiences. I am beyond frustrated. The biggest frustration is that what ASPCA states that they will claim is often denied. One example (of many), an RX food used to treat a medical condition (not a general maintenance) is CLEARLY laid out in my plan, but is denied when I submit. Today I’m told that it needs to be an RX medication food- even though that is nowhere in the policy. My internal medicine vet wrote a long letter explaining how this is a specific treatment, and it is still denied. It is a constant struggle to have ASPCA cover what is clearly listed in the policy, and when you submit an appeal, it further delays ALL processing. The normal processing times exceed a month when there are no extenuating circumstances. I get frequent standard emails apologizing for the long delays, with ASPCA acknowledging the severe delays. I just called about claims and the customer service rep was adamant they process claims in 7-10 business days, essentially telling me that he knew better about processing times instead of my actual experience and the acknowledgement from ASPCA via email apology. The the past few months, every time I call I’m given a different answer to the same question. This is beyond frustrating and I am considering canceling my plan so I can give my dog the best care without the hassle and frustration every month. I hope other pet parents seriously consider these experiences.
