ASPCA Compared to top 10 pet insurances

I looked at about 8 different plans. For cap offs, deductibles and price for the insurance premiums - ASPCA was less expensive with more benefits. But, I haven’t used the insurance and I hope I never have to.

The ASPCA has ALWAYS been great - I can't believe I didn't think to look up their offering sooner…

The ASPCA has always been a wonderful organization, so when I read that they were the third party provided by my auto insurance, I was thrilled. To further find that they were not only the best deal for the money AND the process of signing up, inputting claims, and getting the ball rolling was so EASY, I couldn't be happier. So far, I could not ask for a more user friendly, easy service with loads of benefits for our newest member of the family. I'm beyond chuffed. Thanks!

Worse pet insurance

This is the second time I tried giving them a chance for their insurance. I got the insurance after my dog needed an emergency vet. I knew the initial visit wasn’t covered but the second time I took her in for DIFFERENT SYMPTOMS, they denied the claim stating it was a pre existing condition because of symptoms listed. You can’t even file an appeal and you can’t file anything that happened during waiting period either because you’re not covered. Definitely not worth $60 a month.

Don't expect to be reimbursed.

Paid the highest tier of preventative care so I keep my cat healthy. She went in for her health exam. And Aspca did not reimburse or even list the reason as to why something that was listed was not in fact covered. I'd say don't fall for their manipulation but to each their own.

Disappointed ☹️

I have had this insurance for my pup for 6 years. I have put in only two claims. One last year after his annual physical for $217. My reimbursement was $70. This year after his physical and needed vaccines and lab work. The bill was $342. When I submitted my claim, they asked for his health records for the past six years. Why???? After receiving the records, they had the nerve to reimburse me $70 again. Why do I have this insurance for. I can just open an account for my pup, put the current monthly premium ($1,448) in that account and use it for his health care., this makes more sense than giving them my money. I choose ASPCA, because I thought they would be more reliable, I guess when it comes to money no body is.
