ASPCA Insurance is there when I need it.

I have had a rescue cat, Scruffy, for about 8 years now. I got ASPCA insurance for him about a year after I rescued him, not because he needed it then but because I knew, down the road, I would have to deal with medical issues. Happily I rarely used my insurance until last year but since then, these good folks have been there for me as Scruffy was diagnosed with diabetes (and the cost of care for this disease is not cheap). In addition he developed thickening of his intestinal wall and we are trying various procedures and tests and bloodwork to find the cause. Through it all, ASPCA has been there to help with the bills and calling to check on my kitty. Great customer service.

ASPCA is Great !

After a thorough search and a few months with a different company, we decided on ASPCA. For us, it's been the best decision. We had spent thousands of dollars in vet bills over the years before realizing we should get health insurance for our pets. Earlier this year, our much loved cat, Pangi, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. Not only did ASPCA pay most of the bills promptly, but cared enough to call us and to send condolences on our loss. I knew they really felt for us. Our dogs have the wellness option as well, and after completing forms online, we promptly receive benefits. I can't say enough good things about the caring and personal service. Our pets are family to us. ASPCA treats them the way we want them treated.

A good thing to have.

I have ASPCA pet insurance on my 7 yr old golden. I am very glad I had this insurance this year. My dog had a serious upper respiratory infection, that resulted in large vet bills. Claims were easy to submit and were processed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the full cost of certain treatments were not covered and some supportive treatments were not covered, such as probiotics during an extended course of antibiotics. I have and do recommend that people get this pet insurance due to the ever growing cost of pet care.

Great Service

ASPCA gave me great service. I have had other pet insurance in the past and they were terrible. This was the first time I had to use my insurance and it was a great experience.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
