Best decision ever!

My husband and I both thought in the beginning, do we really need Pet insurance? I'm glad we decided to try it because without the help of ASPCA insurance my beautiful 6month old terrier wouldn't be running around the park with my kids today.

We are so glad we got ASPCA pet insurance!

Not long after adopting our mostly toy poodle from a rescue shelter, we learned from our veterinarian that he needed surgery on both knees. We went to the recommended surgeon who confirmed it - luxating patellas on both knees. We are so grateful that ASPCA paid for all the tests, surgery and prescriptions. Without this insurance coverage we would have had to use credit or take out a loan. During the claim process, the customer service representatives I spoke with were courteous, professional and helpful. It was a pleasure dealing with ASPCA.

Use the policy & they will drop your pet

I loved this policy for years. It was easy to submit claims. We spent far more on the policy than we received in reimbursements for claims, but I figured it was a way to mitigate risk. It was offered as a benefit that could be added (for a cost) at my work. Fast forward many years and our german shepherd is 10years... went to vet emergency room one weekend with an eye infection. They decided it was allergies causing a resultant eye infection. He got allergy shots at our regular vet. We thought that was it, the dog was better. Then we got a letter in the mail saying that they were dropping us from the policy. We could get a new policy with them, but the allergies would now be a pre-existing condition. Don't expect to have the policy forever...If you use it, they will drop you or change the plan, so that your dog has "pre-existing" conditions

Peace of Mind and Ease of Use

I've told everyone I know that pet insurance is a must - and ASPCA Pet Insurance has been a great provider. I've never had to make hard choices regarding my animals' care, because I know their medical expenses—for tests, medications, and procedures—are covered. Usually they only need preventive care (checkups, etc.) but the couple of times they've needed more, whether for an accidental injury or illness, I've had the peace of mind of knowing I don't have to worry about vet costs. I recently used the 24-hour vet line during a late-night emergency and that was incredibly helpful too. Claims are easily filed online and paid out promptly, so all in all I've had a great experience!

Excellent insurance for our dog

Very good customer service, helpful & caring people. I am truly sorry that I had to cancel my insurance for Harley, but I am no longer, at this time, able to afford to pay for it. I am hopeful, that in the not to distant future, I will be able to start up with it again. Sincerely yours, Sally Olson
