Great attitude

Katie and Joe were extremely helpful with explaining how my policy working and what exactly what to expect after filing a claim. Super great attitude and personal. I was on phone for less then 10mins both calls and all questions were answered

Cheerful and passionate about pets

The woman I spoke with was so nice. Bubbly, upbeat and cheerful and passionate about pets - you could hear it in her voice. She answered all my questions happily. She's great!

By far the best call to a customer service line

Very good contact by the team

Very good contact by your team. I received an email notification of our insurance activation, even before getting a promised call back from cust svc. So, needless to say, I didn't really expect a call back, but a call came! Very nice follow thru. 👍

Monthly Cost

$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.

Waiting Period

Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims. AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care. Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
