BEST DECISION EVER!
The best thing I did for my Beagle and myself was to take out this insurance. AKC Pet Insurance is dependable, a good value and allows me to get the care that my dog needs to keep her healthy. Thank you AKC Pet Insurance!

Worth it!
We’ve never had an issue with our claims being paid. My only suggestion...purchase the insurance when they are puppies. Then there’s no question on pre existing conditions.

My puppy broke her leg shortly after we got her. It required a major surgery. Thankfully we had pet insurance and they helped us cover the costs.

I've been extremely happy with this…
I've been extremely happy with this insurance for my puppy. The process of submitting claims and being reimbursed works well. I even had a major appeal of a claim that unfortunately happened one day after I upgraded from their free promotional 30 day policy to a comprehensive plan and AKC Pet Insurance covered it.
I'd never had pet insurance before and was unsure whether I should get it. Now that I have I'd highly recommend it to everyone.
Monthly Cost
$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.
Deductible
Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.
Waiting Period
Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims.
AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care.
Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
