AKC | Pet Insurance Review

Over the years AKC Pet Insurance has in our perception downgraded the insurance, paying less, and limiting amounts more. For the day to day things I'm not so impressed. We've had coverage for 9 years. For emergency they seem to be much better covering around 80% based on limits. We obviously must go to an expensive vet clinic.

I have had AKC Pet Insurance for "my boy" for 8 years. I can honestly say they are the best company for pet health insurance.

I was shopping for a new and better pet insurance than I previously had and came across AKC/Pet Partners. I was a little skeptical at first but decided to give them a chance. I'm glad I did. So far they have been excellent. The only reason for the 4 stars vice 5 is due to the fact they don't have an online portal or app to see my pet's policy documents or claims or to make online payments if a person would choose that in lieu of automatic draft payments. Also, due to the fact they still issue checks which have to be mailed vice direct deposited into my account which would save everyone time not to mention money. If/when they fix these two items I truly believe they will soar to the top of the pet insurance industry. Pound for pound they are doing a significantly better job than my previous insurance I just hope that continues.

We have two dogs. One had severe immune problems and transfusions. AKC has been there and lived up to it's promises with no problems. We really needed it. Our other dog now has some issues. I do not know how we could have helped our dogs without them.
