Very helpful in our time of saddness

I've had coverage for a few years now and only had on issue but it was quickly resolved once I explained that the claim was for our pet who had passed away. Claim service rep directly called the claim department to find out what they needed exactly and helped me to get the info that they needed. It was a very distressing time as our Frenchie had just passed and she helped me so that I could get one of the claims processed.

I can understand that they get alot of claims but at times it takes more than a month to complete the process. The last claims I submitted had lab reports and information from the Vet. We had already spoke with someone about the tests being run and we submitted the reports and notes of the vet. They received three requests for information and submitted the paperwork three times and then a fourth time by fax with a vet tech being on the phone as the paperwork was being faxed. They need to set up some way to let the client know how much they have left on a certain illness.

insurance use 5 months within signing up for it!

my Newfie came out of the gate with genetic issues that needed to be addressed with surgery on her elbows and both knees. This also required a lot of x rays, labs and medications. I thought for sure AKC insurance would drop me but they stayed with us and continue to help pay for some of her continuing medications. I would not hesitate to suggest to a friend that they should purchase this insurance
