How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Lifetime Small Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Thank you so much for caring for our little Jasmine! We were passing through Cody on a 3 month RV trip. Jasmine had hurt her leg and it wasn’t improving. We were able to schedule an appointment a few days ahead of getting there. After examination, surgery was scheduled and she left Cody with a repaired tendon and complete instructions for follow-up care. Dr. Prior gave complete explanations and inspired well deserved confidence. We would be lucky to have her as our home vet anywhere!

I took my cat in for UTI and had them double check to make sure she wasn't diabetic, because another vet had said she was! I had them shave her belly and then they told me the total I owed them was $815! I about died right there! The lady even admitted to me that they charge higher than Powell vets! Almost a thousand dollars for a veterinarian visit? I don't think so!

Our English Springer developed an eye situation while out hiking Saturday and needed emergency care. Saturday evening when we got back to Wapiti, we called the emergency # and Tess picked up on the first ring. We went immediately to the Lifetime Small Animal Hospital and our Springer was immediately treated by Tess and Dr. Prior . Our dog is improving well and thanks to Tess & Dr. Prior she will be ready to get back on the hiking trail in a week or so. Thank you for the awesome care for our wonderful dog . Dr. Rick S.

I love the staff & Doctor Prior! You could not ask for a more caring team to care for your fur babies! Dr. Prior herself answered the phone early on a Sunday morning and met us at the clinic 30 minutes after calling! They were so caring and wasted no time getting our Shiloh back on track after an intestinal issue!

While traveling my dog developed a paw problem at the same time as travel digestive stress. I called Tuesday after Memorial weekend and they got us in and handled by lunchtime. He's doing fine now. Great service and help.
